Promotes coat growth and stronger pigmentation, with all 37 minerals and
trace elements your pet needs
Even through winter, keep your pet looking their best with our Kelp Seaweed
Powder, which promotes thicker coat growth and stronger pigmentation.
We use a special variety of kelp,Fucus vesiculosus, which is packed full of the
37 minerals and trace elements that your pet needs, making it a great all-round nutritional supplement. We only use kelp harvested from sustainable
deep-sea sources and it's tested to British Herbal Pharmacopoeia standards
for heavy metals and contaminants. For a higher strength preparation, try
our Kelp Seaweed Tablets.
What causes pigmentation loss?
A drop in pigmentation may occur on the nose, eyes and mouth during the
winter months and also in bitches following a season or pregnancy. This
fading is generally considered to be due to a shortage of minerals,
particularly iodine and iron.
How does Kelp Seaweed Powder help?
Seaweeds are a rich source of iodine, although some seaweeds contain
much more than others, so giving the correct one is essential for maximum
effect. The seaweed we use in our products is pharmaceutical grade
Fucusvesiculosus which has a very high mineral content, providing a particularly
high amount of iodine and iron to help maintain strong pigment. Our Kelp
Seaweed Powder also contains all 37 of the minerals and trace elements
required by the body, to provide your pet with great all-round nutritional
support.
How do I use Kelp Seaweed Powder?
Many people find it useful to give our Kelp Seaweed Powder from autumn
through to spring to help prevent a drop in pigment. It is necessary to give
Kelp Seaweed Powder for a minimum of one month to enhance pigmentation that has been lost, although it may take two or more months for it to be completely restored.
It is advisable to seek veterinary advice before giving this product to animals
suffering from a thyroid disorder
